Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A jet transporting Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft touched down following standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This incident does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has suffered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to head back to Washington DC after encountering a technical issue.
