Star Refutes Anti-Vaxxer Views Following Narrating Disputed Covid Documentary

The "Taken" star has lent his narration to a feature-length documentary that questions the legitimacy of vaccines and lauds one-time health official RFK Jr.

The Documentary's Contentious Foundation

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a bestselling book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the pandemic for claims that the illness was a result of a bad strain of the influenza shot.

The publication's co-author, a producer, has penned books with controversial radio host the Infowars host. Heckenlively recently posted hailing Neeson's participation in the documentary.

An Unequivocal Statement

Representatives for the actor have provided a comment strongly denying suggestions that he supports anti-immunization sentiments.

"We all recognize that corruption might be present within the medical sector, but that cannot be conflated with being against vaccines," the response reads. "Liam never has been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with the global charity underscores his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

It noted that the actor did not shape the film's editorial content and that questions about its assertions are best addressed to the creators.

Key Assertions In the Feature

As presented, the script spoken by Neeson makes several strong claims:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have called for "complete compliance" to government bodies.
  • It declares that "science has become highly politicised."
  • RFK Jr is shown claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not properly vetted."
  • The narration takes aim at Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused psychological harm that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning the immunizations, it cites a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Historical Background and Current Debates

The documentary includes a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was subsequently the subject of a formal apology by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, RFK Jr directed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its longstanding position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, contrary to a new report from the WHO stating no evidence has been found.

A Past Position of Support

Differing from the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

Two years ago, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," adding that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has lost sight of how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

The film concludes with Neeson's voice saying, "This isn't the finish of our narrative. It is the dawn of a different phase."
