Trump's Granddaughter Seeks Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
The rising star boasts substantial social media following
Kai Trump will have numerous prominent backers as she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns multiple international courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically advised me to play and relax," she added.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
But she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He advised me to play, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of the biggest names in professional golf at the Annika, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA commented that involving Kai exposes golf to wider groups, specifically with youth audiences.
Kai boasts millions of followers and recently launched an exclusive fashion and living company.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
